20% EEA is a stable derivative of Vitamin C that discourages melanin production by interfering with the activity of tyrosinase, a key enzyme involved in melanin synthesis. By inhibiting tyrosinase, it reduces the conversion of tyrosine to melanin intermediates, thereby limiting the overall production of melanin pigment in the skin, which then reduces hyperpigmentation and promotes a more even skin tone. It also stimulates collagen synthesis, which enhances skin firmness and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
